The big family of « Fitter » appeared at the end of the 1950s with the emergence of the Sukhoi Su-7. This plane quickly became the backbone of the Soviet Tactical Air Force, the Warsaw Pact and the USSR’s allies.

In the middle of the 1960s, the Sukhoi design department developed the Su-7 by adding variable-sweep wings, a more powerful jet engine and new ground assault capabilities. The biggest family of fighter bombers appeared: les Sukhoi Su-17, -20 and -22.

Thanks to its anti-corrosion resistance, this stator only required one cleaning operation to recover its original appearance. A chemical treatment was then used to ensure that the titanium would retain its radiance over time.

A flexible strip of LED has been positioned around the mirror in order to highlight the fineness of the blades and create warm lighting.
